Playback freezes when transcoder finishes

Seeing lots of playback freezes today – all appear to coincide with transcoder finished.

Some examples:
Watching the end of yesterday’s PBS NewsHour, playback froze (stopped) with 3:02 left. Transcoder finished was displayed under picture.

Started today’s NewsHour from an in-progress recording. Every couple of minutes, playback froze – always with playback finished message under picture.

Switched to watching NewsHour live (as opposed to playing from in-progress recording) – have watched it for MUCH longer and no playback freeze.

Perhaps an easy way to duplicate this is to ply the last 4 minutes or so of a recording at 480/1MB (hardware/blend). The transcoder will get comfortably ahead and, when it finishes, I believe playback will freeze.

Bug isolated, fix in the works.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Play previously recorded NewsHour (~1 hour recording) – I was using 720P/2MB
  2. Scrub to about 5 minutes left in the show and continue playing
  3. Take not when the message “Transscoder Finished” appears.
  4. Wait a little longer (perhaps 30 seconds or more). Playback will freeze with time remaining.
    (In my case 0:47s remained. I had to close the window and reopen to play from that point.)
  5. The log has an entry for stopping transcoder session.

This appears reproducible 100% of the time.
