Hi all - I’m a big fan of the Expanse on the SyFy channel. I’m getting allot of video judder… to the point its very distracting. I always recording the show but plan to watch it live tonight to see if its any better. Anyone else see this? I’m not sure if this is a deinterlacing issue or a 24p/3:2pulldown or even something else.
You can try playing the file on a computer with VLC to see if it’s any better there.
Also recommend you check the tuner status page on your HDHR while the recording is happening to see what the signal strength looks like. Could be there’s a bad connection affecting certain channels. Sometimes removing and reinserting the CableCARD can help as well.

I should add that commercials are fine.
Interesting results from my testing. I reviewed the recorded version today. The latest episode of Expanse is playing better… not sure if its the specific episode or the beta version of the Channels app. I still see video judder however when I pause, rewind, and then play the scene again… its practically gone.
