I can get good reception when watching live TV on the Channels app. When recording SD channels on the DVR everything is fine. However, when recording HD channels they often are jumpy and choppy.
Anybody know why this might be? I live in a tower block and use a communal ariel on the roof of our building.
Is your DVR mac on wifi? Sounds like it’s having issues talking to the HDHR reliably.
Hmmm. Yes the old Mac I am using as the DVR server is only connected by Wifi. Your obvioualy suggestting I try a wired Ethernet connection.
Just out of interest, why does this only happen with HD channels?
HD channels use more bandwidth because they are higher quality video.
