Per my previous topic I went into settings-playback-seek options and turned off Show Timeline for sports.
I started watching today's recorded US Open while it is still recording. The Timeline isn't shown for the first FF but then it's there every time after. Because it's on ABC I thought maybe it wasn't pegged as sports. So I turned off all Show Timelines. I'm still getting the timeline.
Go to settings >Support>Clear Disk Cache
That's what I had to do to get rid of timeline after seeing your earlier post
Thanks, but didn't help. Cleared video and image cache, went back to program and FF or FB both show timeline.
In my experience the timeline will pop up when the buffer is extinguished when set to not show the timeline. You can verify this yourself by waiting just a few seconds before skipping ahead again. If your network is slow or the client is slow and the buffer runs out the timeline will pop up. If you use taps for skipping it shouldn’t pop up. If you hold it down to scrub faster it will always pop up.
Thanks for the update.
Tapping is what I want to avoid.
Seems like I want a new function called
"Don't show timeline-EVER!".
You are not alone. I would like the same.
