Playback stalls

Trying out the latest AppleTV beta and any time I try to view a recording it seems to stall for several seconds (5-10sec it seems). Pausing seems to have the same effect, it will take a very long time to un-pause.

Also when I tried to change the audio language it disabled all audio.

When you stay stall, what does that mean? Is the timeline showing a spinner while that happens? Does it start playing and then stall, or just show the first video frame and then take a while to start?

What hdhomerun model?

Logs submitted. There is a spinner at the bottom of the timeline bar. If I am watching a recording for the first time I see black until it finally loads. Otherwise I see the freeze frame of the paused frame as it loads. Basically any kind of access causes this, even skipping ahead.

Using the Quattro but this is with recordings saved to my Synology NAS. Live playback (including pausing/rewinding) seems ok in my limited testing. This does not occur when going back to the release version.

I didn’t see any logs come through. Did you go to the bottom of the Settings tab and click Submit Diagnostics?

Yes and it said logs submitted. I will do so again later this evening.

I’ve resubmitted all three log types.

Can you try updating to the latest beta and see if it fixes the issue.

A very quick test seems to indicate it works as expected with several recordings! I’ll be able to test more this weekend and will update should I notice anything further. Many thanks!
