I thought if I had Playon home place the shows it recorded into the channels DVR folder they would auto show up when I view tv shows from my channels tv app.
Is there a way so I can just get them to show up in my channels tv app and ideal be able to delete them when I'm done from the app?
i assume then i should have them be in a different folder then where channels saves things? Also are you able to delete from the channels app this way?
Correct. Channels will not scan its own folders, and will print an error in the logs. (An exception to this is if you use the Imports folder in the DVR storage location.)

I just point it to the main PlayOn download folder. And then, yes, you can delete from Channels as you normally would any recording. For all intents and purposes, it acts exactly like Channels recorded it OTA.
If you want movies to show up properly under "Library", you need to have a separate storage folder, and a separate entry under "Personal Media".
