If I record a TV show using PlayOn Home, it populates correctly into the Channels Library. However, movies do not. They end up in a folder with the name of the streaming service, and do not have the year in the file name. Every movie I record needs to be manually moved to a different folder and have the file renamed.
Has anyone found a way to make it easier to get movies from PlayOn Home into the Channels Library?
Since there is no integration of PlayOn Home with Channels DVR (only PlayOn Cloud), you must have told PlayOn Home where to save its recordings to?
What directory did you tell it to save to?
And what directory does Channels DVR record to?
I think I have found the solution. PlayOn Home is saving files to G:\PlayOn Home. Channels is saving to G:\Channels Data.
The TV Shows recorded from POH are placed in sub-folders with the name of the series. But the movies are going under the name of the streaming service. The solution seems to be placing an entry for each streaming service under Personal-Media->Movies, pointing to the sub-folder for that particular service. For example:
G:\PlayOn Home\Paramount Plus
This worked for Amazon, and I'm not testing Paramount.
