I am trying this for the first time. I got the 7 day free trial of Playon Cloud and created a new source in channels for it. Channels created a Playon directory on my DVR drive with movies and TV sub directories and I have two completed movies sitting in Playon's Recording directory - but they aren't downloading to Channels. I pressed Sync twice now over a period of 2-3 hours.
Is there something else I have to do (or does it take a while to do this?
I don't know if there is some kind of delay after initial setup, but since I have set it up a couple years back, it does auto check at some frequency, but if I know I have movie(s) available and click sync, I get the download going right away (check setting page, as it should show the progress which can take a few minutes to complete).
You might be able to view the logs in the dvr to see if there are any helpful notices there (click sync again, then check the newest log entries).
Well, I changed the video quality to 1080p while there were movies in the queue.....it somehow froze the first movie in line and I was able to free it by deleting the app and logging in again.....the problem was at Playon ...not Channels
And it downloaded the movie to my iPhone. I think I should have Playon Home - not cloud.
Channels uses Playon Cloud:
The app on your phone has settings where you can prevent download to the phone (I do not download to mine). But channels should be able to connect and download.
In web browser, if you go to PlayOn Cloud - Video Download (may need to login to your account), you should be able to see the movies/shows you have recorded and that are available for download (you do not need to download, but you do have option to do so, of course this will download outside of channels, but will not prevent channels from also downloading).
If you see the list at this url, then channels (assuming no issues in channels/playon for your account) should be able to download these.
I clicked on that link and sure enough there are a couple of movies there. Playon also sent me a notification email.
I pressed SYNC again and nothing yet....
I'm going to remove and reinstall Playon from channels
That worked (removing and reinstalling)....now it is downloading it.
But it only worked once. I have to delete the Playon source and reinstall every time.
