There is Playon and their is strmlnk. Playon does a screen capture of the show and is downloaded to the channels library. It seems that someone could develop an addon app for channels that would do a capture of a show/movie title and download that capture into a strmlnk file. Could this perhaps be a future channels enhancement?
For example, the title is searchable by an app that is grouped by service. When the title is clicked in the app a strmlnk file is downloaded to the appropriate channels location (as opposed to an mp4 with Playon Cloud) with the appropriate link inside of the file and the file named correctly.
