One thing we are having a hard time getting used to is on our old DVR, in the guide, when you selected a guide entry you could do check upcoming right from there. Channels only shows “watch”, “remind me”, “record”. Here is an example of why it’s needed:

The show is on and we missed the beginning, we use “upcoming” to see if it’s on again and record it.

We may have seen the episode and want to see what the next one is about.
Obviously the upcoming response must contain the description. Please seriously consider this for the IOS ands AppleTV versions. Thanks!
