Don’t see any LiveTV options, just record (and transcode!!!). Stores recordings in defined Plex Library (create on or existing)…
Doesn’t appear to support multiply HDHR devices just one can be defined.
I’ll probably give it a go while waiting out the Channels one.
Yea just set it up. It works quite well for recording and playback. For live tv channels is still king. Waiting on channels DVR, but for now this should work well for me.
yea look like a solution for me, Channels for live and this for dvr, like that its puts the saved files for TV in with my boxsets etc
Yes working nicely here too. I’m willing to bet Plex developers will win the race to add live TV with time shift and ability to set/edit recording schedules from other apps including the Apple TV - especially for the UK. It’s good to see some hot competition! For now though, this is the death knell for Eye TV in my setup while I retain Channels for live and time shift TV. And even then, after the BBC iPlayer app for ATV and iOS was updated this week to enable rewind in live TV (even when you’ve only just tuned in, unlike Channels) I now basically keep Channels for watching Channel 4 live. Which is a pretty niche use case so that might go soon too.
Did anyone’s Plex DVR get wiped out with the latest upgrade? Very annoying how they have separate betas going on and do not integrate all features into the code. I’m going to try and uninstall/downgrade now but what a pain!

I’ve given up on the Plex dvr. I know it was a beta but I found it unusable, luckily only bought one month of Plex Pass.

Curious to hear what kind of issues you had…
I seem to have issues with Plex DVR and channels. When channels is used and a recording is scheduled it seems like Plex fails to record. It could be how one of the apps is grabbing tuners. Currently when something is playing on channels the Plex DVR interface displays all tuners as available. So thats been very annoying. I just enabled debug logging on their side so I can try and catch it. Theres a forum post going with this but you have to be plex pass to view it so I wont bother pasting the link here.

What about the hdhomerun interface, surely it shows the tuner in use?
Yea the hdhomerun interface itself shows the tuners in use. They claim to use one of the API methods from hdhomerun thats a soft get of the tuner which lets the hdhr itself give the specific tuner out. Not sure if channels uses the same interface or tries to grab them in a different way.
