I am using Plex to play back my recordings. But it plays in stereo sound, but when I play it in the channels app it plays in surround sound. Can anyone explain to me why and is there something I can do to fix that. Thank you
Sounds like a question for Plex Support.
Maybe it's selecting a secondary stereo audio track or downmixing the 5.1 to stereo.

Is plex Audio set to passthrough ?
Yes it is it plays all my other files in surround sound just the ones the channels DVR records are in stereo

Does the Channels DVR details for the recording show more than one audio track?
