Pluto Big Brother Channels Recording issue

I tried emailing support and go nowhere, since they actually never replied, so I will try here.

When recording from the big brother channels. When recording them the recording gives mixed results of the length of the recording and in some cases the inability to play them back properly or to fast forward or rewind. For example, some recordings may show the correct length and for the most part they play back correctly. Although at times fast forwarding gives mixed results. While others show wildly different lengths. I have some only show a few hours to most showing 20+ hours for the recording length. Although each recording I setup is for an hour. Some with overlap, some without and I still get the same mixed results. If I go to fix the timestamps, then it will reduce the recordings to mere minutes. Losing the ability to watch the entire hour that I recorded. I have tested on each of the feeds, and it does the same thing on each of the four Big Brother Live Feeds.

Wrong recording lengths is a intermittent issue with Pluto. It's just a display issue and you are best to ignore it. I've never had one that did not play fine though skipping around in the video can be a problem. Commercial skips seem to work correctly in the long recordings.

Yes, Pluto streams more often than not are problematic. It's usually good enough to play and watch in one sitting.

Now, when it's something I want to keep, I will edit the recordings with a video editor and save them properly.
Then import them in Channels.

That's my process.

Thank You!

Thank you.

I'm looking into this. It looks like there are some edge cases that we haven't handled properly in HLS that this feed is exercising.

Thank you very much. Look forward to hearing back from you. =)

Please check this pre-release out. From my testing it behaves much better on these streams.

I have upgrade to that release and started recording some BB Live Feeds. Will report back

I have recorded at least two hours worth and the timestamps/length show correct. I am recording for another several hours. But unless something strange happens it appears to have been fixed. Thank You very much

@eric I have noticed on some recordings, that the audio will show up on Track 2 and not Track 1. Manually having to change to get the audio. Other than that, out of the 8 recordings all had no issues with recorded hours. All showed as they should.

This should fix the problem you were seeing there. Thanks again for reporting this stuff.

You are welcome. I will test and report back. Thanks for fixing these issues.
