This limits usefulness of passes for things like Actor/Director. I think even season is missing.
Garbage in garbage out.
Pluto doesn’t have this kind of data. Some shows have season and episode numbers in other parts of its data, and the Pluto for Channels project does its best to extract it.

Well, the title and the year are available so getting the rest from a movie db should be possible. A local cache could be used to improve performance. Option for sharing movie db would allow the DVR to keep copy of the data. 
It’s open source, so feel free to add all of this and share with the rest of us.
