I successfully set up Pluto using Docker and Pluto for Channels 1.0.18. Initially I got channel information but did not get any episode information. I changed the epg provider from a url such as http://192.168.1.53:8080/epg.xlm to a listing like localhost:8080/epg.xlm and I got the episode information.

Is this ok to set it up this way or should I be using the http://... url?

Will it continue to see the episode information in the future?

If it works now, it ought to work into the future.

Without knowing your network setup, there are any number of reasons why connecting to your container by IP isn't working.
