Using DVR pre-release 2018.03.19.1833.
On ATV4. Tried with both Beta and Store versions of the software. (but it seems not be be client issue based on items below)
Some shows seem to have recorded but when selected for playback the player does not start.
Looking at the TV folder, the file size for these recordings seems WAY off (95mb for “the resident”) and (32mb for “good girls”).
The DVR logs do not show any issues when the items are selected to play.
None of the recording code has changed. Sounds like the HDHR didn’t tune correctly and sent back no real video data.
If you find the recording on the web UI, and select View Details what does it show?
The recordings in question all have different start times.
View Details on the Web UI shows the filename with a never ending spinning wheel
Email me the file and I’ll take a look. I’ve seen this happen rarely before with my own tuners- sometimes when the CableCARD isn’t correctly setup or the antenna signal is flaky.
The file has bee emailed…
but the issue has not re-occurred and since then I have updated to a newer pre-release build
Could have been something specific that night,
