Possible to move WMC recordings to Channels DVR?

I’m looking to move a family relative from Windows Media Center to Channels DVR. They have a large library of recordings they have saved over the past 3-4 years.

Is there a way to get these recorded TV files transitioned to Channels so they can keep their “history” and access their recordings in the same interface and catalogued nature as their new ones moving forward via Channels App?

I realize that DRM content would not be possible, but was hoping for a way handle this with a majority of their shows, which are not copy-protected.

We do not support importing recordings from other systems. Your best bet is probably to setup Plex for your existing library.

You can set up a plex server and use the plex app to watch WMC recordings. This is what I did, but difficult to skip commercials.
