Potential issue in latest prerelease with audio remuxing

Eric,

When watching remotely the server is remuxing HD streams at 2 Mbps according to the server. In the process I am losing DD 5.1 and video quality. Streaming quality - internet streaming is set to original. Have there been any changes in the releases the past two days that would be causing this issue? The previous releases would typically show remuxing without a bitrate.

Thanks

Could you submit diagnostics from the app after you see this happen so I can investigate further and let me know once you've done it?

Done. It is from a 4K Apple TV.

Thanks, I'll look into this and see what I can dig up with the audio.

Eric,

FWIW, the server appears to not be honoring the streaming quality setting that the client has selected. I can start a live channel and it will remux it at either 1, 2, or 3 mb/s. It seems to be completely random even though I have “original” set for internet streaming.

@mjcxp Please run this command from your DVR and then try to stream again and then submit diagnostics:

$ curl -X PUT http://localhost:8089/dvr/hacks/abr.remux_debug_logging

I submitted diagnostics from my Apple TV and my server. A server update about two days seems to have changed the remuxing. The 2 mbps was never displayed in the activity window when remote streaming. It would only show remuxing without a bitrate.

You can disable the logging now with:

curl -X DELETE http://localhost:8089/dvr/hacks/abr.remux_debug_logging

Then try the prerelease which should have a fix.
