Preferred External HD Format for NVIDA Shield

Looking to see if there is a preference people here have identified for a file system that seems to work best with channels and an Nvidia Shield using an external HD as the main DVR storage. Seems like the shield supports all the major formats, but I recall coming across users having issues with some of the formats in the past. Not sure if thats still a problem or not so thought I would check. Thanks!

Exfat generally works best

Thanks for the quick response. A few of my recordings have gotten "interrupted" lately due to the faulty drive. If I delete them from my library, will Channels re-record them so long as the season pass is still active or does it keep some history somewhere else and not re-record items if recorded once?

I know you are going to get posts saying ExFAT is great for the Shield, but I'm going to rain on your parade. I found ExFAT a poor choice in any situation, and personally think the Shield should only be used as a client device.

(Feel free to disagree with me. I personally have had poor experiences with ExFAT and XFS, and cannot recommend them in any way. I know the Channels developers recommend ExFAT, and use it for their appliance image, but I feel they are wrong and should use something more stable and better suited such as Ext4.)
