So this is really not important, but still wanted to ask... Does anyone know why the verbiage "Preparing Your TV" is used and not "Preparing Your Device" or "Preparing Your TV Experience" or even "Preparing Your Entertainment Experience". My kids, wife and multiple family members have asked me (they think i can change it) why since they are watching on anything other that a TV. Is this just legacy from when Channels could only be used on a TV or something like that? I always just tell them your device is acting like a TV and to just enjoy the experience... lol.
The "TV" is speaking about the concept of your TV watching, not your physical TV. Originally I was going to have this pop a few different phrases randomly so it cycled, maybe even using some fun movie quotes, but I honestly couldn't come up with anything great, lol.
But, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one whose family thinks they can control/change everything in the world.
Suddenly I am reminded how back in the day my friends and I would open game executables in a HEX editor, search for strings, and edit them to our liking (as long as the new string was no longer than the original string).
And there was no checksum being verified
"Communicating ..."
"Hello ChannelsDVR"
"Talking to server"
"Please be patient"
"How are you today"
"Don't answer that"
