This has been bugging me for over a year. For my OTA channels, the "preview" images constantly show evidence of being corrupted, with color banding across the images, as if the color channels in the image were misaligned or missing some data. Here is an example picture of the effect. It seems to happen with the data being pulled for my OTA channels only.
Any ideas as to the cause or a potential fix?
Which channels? Are they ATSC3?
This occurs with most channels we get OTA. Not sure which digital mode it is. The channels are the ones in the Fargo ND metro area.
Is the channel number greater than 100 (ATSC 3) or less than 100 (ATSC 1) ?
Looks like Fargo, ND only has ATSC 1.0

Was that image of the Today show from your NBC, channel 11?
Yes, but other channels in the area also have mangled show previews. I had assumed they were due to where EPG data was downloaded. Is the picture actually part of the TV station’s transmission?
The preview you posted looks like it comes from the recording made. Where did you take that picture from?
The picture from the EPG data will be visible when you select the show from your Library.
These images are simply artwork from our guide provider. Source or video have nothing to do with them.
I couldn’t tell you why it’s doing that but we haven’t heard of it before. It looks like for some reason the images are being corrupted when downloaded.
It’s been happening for months is all. Seems odd. Thought I would report it.
I would try deleting every Channels app off your device and reinstall it.
Can you clarify, do you mean I should delete the ChannelsDVR server and rebuild it or the ChannelsDVR clients on my AppleTVs? I don't feel like this is a serious enough problem to nuke and have to rebuild the server.
