I noticed that double-clicking play/pause on our remote to toggle between the previous channel only works on certain Apple TVs. Is it supposed to only be for select generations?

It’s probably just not selected in the channels dvr app settings. It’s under settings, playback, jump to last channel.

No, I have 3 different generation AppleTV's and this shortcut works on all of them.

Just checked. I have it turned on as a global setting, so it can’t be that.
Update: Just went from a mid-January version to the latest pre-release and it looks to be fixed already
