Problem scheduling multiple episodes of single show- Creating Pass

I have a newbie problem in recording multiple episodes of a show. In one scenario I want to record all shows of a single channel between 6:00AM - 12:00AM.

The problem is that if a show is recorded, the next episode is marked as recorded. This stops another episode from being recorded. One clue, both episodes have the same text description!

This problem also stops recording of a daily show that has different daily episodes. The recording that is made is only the first day's episode.

Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated!

What is the source for the channel and its guide data?

If the guide data doesn't show each episode as unique, Channels DVR has no way to tell they're different, so thinks they're all the same.

You could try a different source for guide data, or you could use placeholder guide data for the channel and record them if you can't get reliable guide data for the channel.

I have an IPTV account that provides three lines (M3U files) which I use to set up three sources. The XMLTV comes from the Channels site.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good source for EPG data?

What does that mean? What Channels site?
Is your IPTV provider hosting the XMLTV guide data?

Channels DVR will use Gracenote EPG guide data if the channel can be mapped to a Gracenote EPG channel, otherwise you provide an XMLTV source for Channels DVR to use.

The IPTV provider does not provide the XMLTV data so I guess I use the Gracenote information.

I seem to need a recommendation for a good XMLTV guide data.

Thanks

What does your Custom M3U channel setup look like?
If you don't provide an XMLTV guide data source and your playlist doesn't have tms station id's for gracenote EPG mapping (and you haven't manually mapped the channels to guide data), then your grid guide would show placeholder entries.

Without knowing what the channels are and the source, nobody can help, you'll be on your own to figure it out.

If it's one of the popular FAST sources, like Pluto, Tubi, Samsung, etc. There are solutions here in the Custom Channels section of the forum Custom Channels - Channels Community

Without guide data, you're not going to have a very good experience with Channels.

Check out this frequently linked article on how to manually map guide data to your channels:

I apologize for my vagueness. I get the 3 M3U files from IFLEX and edit them with XEEV. I use the edited M3U files from XEEV and, as I remember, the EPG info from gracenote. Then I manually assigned the channels. Should I use the EPG channels from XEEV? If so, where is this set?

oh, I see the spot for XMLTV setting
