I love this Channel Skipping and the TVEverywhere! But I am having problems with most shows on Fox News! The commercial space allotted for channel skipping is way to short! When the skipping is done a notification come up saying there is a commercial brake and program will return soon! This can last for up to two minutes! I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem?
The commercial detection is not 100% accurate. I believe the devs plan on improving this at some time in the future. For now it still requires some manual adjustments now and then.
The strange thing is it only happens on that one channel!
It's because the nearly static image looks nothing like a commercial.

The TVE version of Fox News replaces some commercials with the placard you are seeing. The software that detects the commercials does not consider the placard to be a commercial and as such marks it as program content.

This also happens for me on Charge (6752).
As these placards can last anywhere from 2-5 min and commercial detection doesn’t identify then you will have to manually skip forward (30sec ffd for me) I have to ffd (4 -10x) to begin watching actual content.
Even if you edit commercials, I cannot find an option to manually mark the commercial file for just that segment...as the edit currently allows only ALL of the 3 segment line or not. Much of the actual content still resides in the 2nd-3rd segment.
Suggest that @tmm1 or @maddox add the ability to only mark the 1st segment to add to commercial edit function while 2nd-3rd segment still remains marked as “non commercial”.
