Problems with Fire TV app, but not MacOS app

Hi,

I am regularly running into something I find odd. I have Channels Fire TV app version 4.9.4, and MacOS app 7.0.2 on my laptop. Both are going over my LAN to my Windows 11 box running the Channels DVR server. I have a recording - again - that will not start playing with the Fire TV app. When I start it, the app exits or restarts, but the MacOS app Just Works. Sometimes the problem is a ways into the program - playback on the Fire TV app freezes, but I can restart from the saved position without issue on the MacOS app. The Fire TV app seems to trip over glitches, while the MacOS app seems resilient.

I can provide the recording in question if it's helpful. Obviously, getting the Fire TV app to act more like the MacOS app would be great.

Are you saying that when you back out of the Fire TV app back out and go back in, it's a black screen?
If so, I experienced this on the NVIDIA Shield and they fixed it in the most recent beta.

I don't take action to exit the app - it dies on its own after spinning for awhile, and I am back at the Fire TV screen.

As in Settings -> Advanced -> Transcoder? I can try that next time.

I restarted the Fire TV stick and it's better for the moment, playing everything.
