I have Home Run and PC for the server. It was recording shows, but then stopped recording all shows except for season pass settings. The error message is "could not start steam on Channels app." How to troubleshoot?

Anyway.. you said you submitted diagnostics. Did you do that from the app or web ui? The logs mentioned can be found on the DVR web ui in the support section.
The support tab is on the dvr web UI on your PC
The problem is the pc we are using as a server gives me an error message when I log in that it is configured wrong and so it won’t open. The pc is very slow (old) but works adequately as a server. How do I set up remote access to the dvr server so I can look at the logs? My son has set this up and is gone so I am trying to troubleshoot with limited knowledge:(
The streams are failing with this error when they try to start Chrome:

I have not seen this error before. It seems like something is seriously messed up with your Windows machine.
If you can get to a command prompt on the machine you might try the command “chkdsk” to make sure there are no issues on the system drive. Once that’s done, try “SFC /scannow”. It might be able to correct the issue.
