I would like to select a progressively transcoded version of an interlaced HDHR channel using custom M3U8 playlist. What do I need in a minimal definition of a custom channel?
I just want CDVR to perform deinterlacing of an interlaced channel.
The streaming box that you're running the Channels client on should be able to be setup to always send the same type of signal to your TV (eg. 1080p) regardless of the native format of the stream. Meaning it will do the de-interlacing for you rather than the TV. Or, is this what you're trying to avoid? (ie. you don't like the results when your streaming box does the de-interlacing)
