Provider - Spectrum

Well this is great news. I also wonder when this gets activated to be able to have access to Disney Plus and ESPN+

They wouldn't qualify but thank you for the info.

They should have included Hulu if they were going to nix Freeform, FXM and FXX...all of which I watch regularly. Where will "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" be available moving forward on Spectrum? It's been the flagship show for FXX.

Just so folks are aware, signing that petition opens you up to CR advertising according to their privacy policy.

Clearly the ESPN consumer backlash was severe enough for Spectrum to cave to such a terrible deal, where they are basically pushing their users away from their own linear television services. This is not good news for us here at Channels DVR.

Anyone having any luck re-adding the Disney networks? Keep getting Not Authorized when trying to re-add them.

The only Disney networks that came back were local ABC affiliates (if you had one owned by Disney), The Disney Channel itself, FX, ESPN, and Nat Geo. The rest were dumped.

I ended up using the update password option in the settings button for that source. I put in the same password as before. Then I restarted the server and all was good.

No more Nat Geo Wild. What a bummer.

But they give you D+ which has Nat Geo programs on it...

Did anyone else lose ESPN News after rescan, post new agreement with Disney?

I noticed that I don’t have ESPN News either.

It still shows up in the lineup just not playing.

I don't have espn, FXX, FXM, Disney Jr, or Disney XD on TVEverywhere. Those are the ones I notice, at least. But I do have all of these channels on my Spectrum app. So, I wonder if they just haven't updated yet? IDK

Did you manually rescan each channel? That is all I did. I did lose ESPN News, but the others began working again.

I got kicked off my CableCARD when I had to renegotiate my package costs. So I was forced to get a basic cable box (that's my mothers). I now can only use TVE. So I lost NBC, and MSNBC that was removed because of Widevine earlier in the year. Good thing I don't watch MSNBC, and have OTA. I DID watch BBC World News. But the cable tv service was for my mother. I got the "left overs". The CableCARD, and now TVE. They won't give me the Card back, and will not discount my mother's basic box either.

I watch clips from MSNBC on their YouTube Channel.

You can always use the Spectrum app to view the few channels not covered by TVE. There's no recording (unless you subscribe to the cloud DVR) but that likely doesn't matter for news.
