Since my last post I have not had to reauthenticate my credentials on my DVR. The only thing I changed (although I think it is a coincidence vs the root cause) is I turned off the experimental feature of using TVE for local channels. I doubt this is the reason the credentials have stuck but it is the only change I’ve made to the DVR (I am assuming it was a change to the DVR build). Regardless, I’m pretty pleased and have even recorded a few shows w/o issues.
I removed the T-Mobile source and have been trying to re-add it for the last several weeks of dev builds with no success. When I try to add T-Mobile as a TVE source, I get the "Verifying T-Mobile Login" message and it just spins there forever. I'm entering my login ID as (xxx) xxx-xxxx - is that the proper format? I discovered once before that I had to include the parentheses or it wouldn't parse properly. Am I doing something wrong here?
If you want help you need to submit diagnostics and email support
I also have not had to re-authenticate for the last couple of days, did not make any changes, had to rescan and authenticate on Tuesday but since then it has been working with no issues.
Had to re-authenticate today for the first time in several days. This time, I could not get past the "Cable Provider Authentication failed" message. My e-mail address seems to be entered properly. However, I now get a screen that shows T-Mobile login with my e-mail address populated properly but with no ability to move on from there. I can no longer add the T-Mobile source back into my TVE source list.
What is going on? Please research and tell me if this is a problem on your end or on T-Mobile's end.
I have already submitted diagnostics to the Channels developers for support.
Also had to reauthenticate this morning — I’m assuming this on T-Mobile’s end. I tried scanning again — I am asked for the 2FA code which I am able to enter successfully, but Channels cannot authenticate any TVE channels. This is the error message even though I’m able to enter and provide the 2FA code:
Cable provider authentication failed
2021/03/22 09:30:16.445492 action=authz_retry err=notAuthorized: User must re-authenticate
I haven’t tried deleting T-Mobile as a source, but Im assuming I would probably get the same error as the user above.
I called T-Mobile to get info on this today and they didn't seem to be aware of any issues. Thankfully the rep was able to recreate the issue while we were on the phone with his personal TVision account and the CNN website. Any time you try to log in to any TV Everywhere app/website, you get this error:
Which is the same error that Channels is giving us. The rep created a ticket and said that someone would follow up in 3 days.
I'll be curious to see how/when this is resolved. I was a few days behind you and @AMDVR when it came to not having to re-authenticate on a daily basis, and I have yet had a need to re-authenticate to date. It sounds as if it might remember your authentication for 7 days or so, and then require re-authentication, but perhaps that service is currently not working correctly. Please keep us informed.
I have have the same problem. T-mobile told me it was an Apple problem.
Hard to be an Apple problem when it happens on Windows also.
Just got TVision and am still surprised by the great value. Do I still need to install the Beta Release (and how do I do that) in order to add it as TVE on my Nvidia Shield TV PRO? Thanks for your help!

Wow, glad I didn‘t invest too much time into this, thanks for the link!
Not surprising. They were losing money on these packages and it was only a matter of time before it got shut down.
What a crock of shite! Didn't even last 1 year.
Droid Life: T-Mobile and Google Team Up for Big Pixel, RCS, and YouTube TV Moves.
Before I attempt the switch... are you guys experiencing any issues with YouTube TV and TVE Channels DVR?
YouTube TV works flawlessly.
Just use a google account that doesn't have 2fa turned on. Otherwise, works great.
T-mobile cancelled TVision. At least they announced it. They will offer existing customers a discount for Philo or Youtube TV. https://www.adweek.com/convergent-tv/t-mobile-pulls-the-plug-on-tvision-streaming-service-after-just-5-months/
