Provider - T-Mobile -- TVision Log In Issues

Hi Guys,

Running 2021.02.15.2006.

Has anyone else had issues with T-Mobile? Everything was working fine up until last night, but now I'm getting an error trying to sign in:

Same for me. Was working fine last night. Doesn’t work now. I updated to latest prerelease as well as deleted and re added T-vision as a provider with no luck. I have submitted my logs. I suggest you do the same. It’s good to know I’m not the only one having the issue.

I did -- glad to hear I'm not the only one! But I figured I couldn't be the only one since everything was working fine until last night, and I literally haven't touched the server.

There’s a national outage with T-Mobile right now, and possibly something with TVE because none of my other sources are working either.

I think there's issues in Texas because of the storms, but I don't think they've said anything about a nationwide outage. Have you heard/seen something else?[

I tried calling, and they transferred me to the TVision department, and the wait is over an hour, plus down detector is saying there’s issues.

Don’t think it is an outage issue. The T-vision service is working fine. And credentials are also working logging into individual TV everywhere apps.

I was going to say -- I just tried logging in using TVE and everything works fine from my browser. It seems like this issue could be avoided if a mechanism similar to the Hulu Live TV Captcha workaround is implemented.

Not for me, it’s been buffering and saying this for a few hours now, and none of our recordings will play. Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, and everything else is working fine.

Update: I tried one more time and now I'm getting this:

Like I mentioned above, 2FA is disabled and I am already logged in to other TVE stations in the same browser instance.

Hm, so they're enforcing 2FA now even if you have 2FA disabled on your account?

If you open Chrome incognito, go to watch.hgtv.com and login.. does it ask the same 2FA verification there? After that if you go to watch.foodnetwork.com and select t-mobile, does it make you login (and 2FA) again, or login only, or does it work automatically?

I went to HGTV and logged in in incognito mode. It asked for authentication. I authorized and hgtv works. I then went to food network in incognito mode and logged in. However, It did not ask for authentication on food network. Just logged straight in.

I am having this same issue.

It did not ask for the 2FA after logging in. I did ask me to select the provider, and I selected T-mobile. After I selected the provider it logged in automatically. I tried to add Tvision as a source after this, but it still asked for 2FA. Any ideas? Is implementing something like the captacha workaround for Hulu something possible?

My T-mobile account was locked after this happened and I had to call in to get it unlocked. It seems like the TVE Log In is locking TMO accounts.

Has anyone been able to get the Cooking channel to work, even going to their web site cannot get it to work?

I have the $40 plan with the $10 add on:

Where did you call to get it unlocked, mine is all hosed up now, I deleted it as source and now cannot add it back.

I called 611 -- they couldn't unlock my account. They sent me multiple password resets and claimed that everything was clear on their end, but I was still getting the 'your account has been locked' message. They escalated and gave me a ticket number. I've been able to get around it by logging in to the TVision app using one of my other lines as the log in and watching TV from there, but I'm afraid to try that line with TVE for Channels. What if it blocks another account?

It's also interesting that they turned on 2FA for Tvision only -- I've checked everywhere in the app for additional 2FA settings and nothing. The rep even told me that she couldn't see 2FA enabled on their end.
