Provider - Xfinity

To test I just added Xfinity-TVE, no problem.
DVR version 2021.11.23.2219
I already have 2 servers with it working, so added it to my docker container that had only a Pluto source.
Then enabled local networks and got them also.

Not sure what's different for those unable to add it.
I'm on my home Xfinity network using my own account and used a secondary VIEWER only user/pass.

Having the same issue here. Looks like the Xfinity login form has changed (for some). Staged rollout maybe?

It's a little difficult to tell from the screenshot, but the new login form requires username/email submission first, then password entry on the following page.

That was mentioned a couple times before.
If you go to one of the network sites like nbc live in your browser, do you get the same login form?
Mine is still the traditional user/pass on the same page, so it could be a staged rollout, or just something in their random arsenal of bot kickers.

Yep

When I click this link, I see a login form with two fields for user and pass. I'm not getting that other version so I have not been able to test or fix the code.

So do I with Edge and Firefox from my desktop PC.
But from an iPhone with Safari I see just the username field.
Maybe something is detecting "mobile" browser.
User-Agent, cookies, cache, window width, zoom setting, ?

Sucks that a new issue is cropping up. I would like to add though, there's a check by every channel possible to get with our package. First time I've ever had all the channels that are supposed to work actually work. Not sure if anything changed? Hope this sign in thing gets resolved.

The same link gives me this:

It will on a mobile device, but your server isn't running on one, correct?

No, a SHIELD. But why should that matter, I've always managed my sources / DVR overall with my phone browser. Tried it in desktop mode and same page. In the past it was the single page with boxes for both user / pass.

I get this same page on my M1 Mac Mini server in both Chrome and Safari. 2 different pages for userid and password and the Campus wording. I tried different ways to force the other login page but nothing works.

Maybe something with MacOS/iOS?

Maybe you could provide a HAR to @tmm1 from a login attempt on your Mac Mini

Everyone sees that.
Xfinity is just saying if you're a campus user, don't login here.

Websites that provide a desktop and a mobile version of their webpages display them differently and try to detect if you're on a mobile device when you access their website.

I don't think so. I think it's probably based on what market you're in and what billing system it uses. I worked there for a while in the past and you would think that everything would be consolidated into one main system, but it's not, it's very disorganized, and cobbled-together haphazardly. Side effects of aggressively buying up as many cable companies as they can for as long as they have, prioritizing growth and profits over a more efficient system and customer service. It seems like not all the accounts have transitioned to the new sign in page, most likely because they are garbage. That's the bottom line in my head.

I'll try it out on a PC. See which one I get.
