Websites that provide a desktop and a mobile version of their webpages display them differently and try to detect if you're on a mobile device when you access their website.
I don't think so. I think it's probably based on what market you're in and what billing system it uses. I worked there for a while in the past and you would think that everything would be consolidated into one main system, but it's not, it's very disorganized, and cobbled-together haphazardly. Side effects of aggressively buying up as many cable companies as they can for as long as they have, prioritizing growth and profits over a more efficient system and customer service. It seems like not all the accounts have transitioned to the new sign in page, most likely because they are garbage. That's the bottom line in my head.
I'll try it out on a PC. See which one I get.

Not sure if a full HAR file is required, but here are the relevant elements for the split login form.
Form 1 - email/username entry:
<form name="signin" action="https://login.xfinity.com/login" method="post" novalidate="">
<label for="user">Enter your Xfinity ID</label>
<input id="user" name="user" type="text" placeholder="Email, mobile, or username" value="" autocorrect="off" autocapitalize="off" spellcheck="false" maxlength="128" required="" data-empty-message="Please enter your Xfinity ID to sign in.">
<button class="submit" type="submit" id="sign_in">Let's go</button>
</form>
Form 2 - password entry:
<form name="signin" action="https://login.xfinity.com/login" method="post" novalidate="">
<label for="passwd">Enter your password</label>
<input id="passwd" name="passwd" type="password" autocomplete="current-password" maxlength="128" required="" data-empty-message="Please type in your password to sign in.">
<input id="user" name="user" type="text" autocomplete="username" value="[MY_XFINITY_USERNAME]" disabled="" data-hidden="">
<button class="submit" type="submit" id="sign_in">Sign In</button>
</form>
***[MY_XFINITY_USERNAME] value in form 2 autopopulated from form 1 submission
Is there a full page reload after entering the username or does it just update the fields inline?
Yes, the page refreshes between entering the username and password
Does the url change?
Yes, the page refreshes and the url changes after entering the username.
Edit: Let me clarify slightly, the url changes from login.xfinity.com/login?r=comcast.net (then a bunch of junk after this) to just login.xfinity.com/login (all that junk is dropped in the url, the username is filled in and a password form shows up. The page does appear to refresh)
I wonder why I have had no problem adding XFINITY source with the latest release ... maybe nothing has changed in my XFINITY login ?
If you go back in this topic, it started around 3-4 weeks ago where some people get a different login form that looks like what you see using a mobile phone. Instead of username and pass on the same form, it's two separate forms for them.
I'm seeing the same issue for the past few days, no login form found. Northern CA xfinity
I’ve been away for a few days but want to thank the dev for responding to me/us. I’m at two weeks as of tomorrow and I’m thinking I was just one of the unlucky people to see this first.
I tried the latest beta, still no luck. Hope we have resolution soon
What do you see when you click the link from a desktop browser at home?
