Provider - Xfinity

xfinity is no longer working once again; I removed it and ill add it back sunday to see if it works

Any suggestions on audio issues with bravo tv. It started in the last day and not sure what I can try to solve it. It is skipping every other word.

I haven't clicked anything yet.

And if it's like the last time I encountered this, once I click the Ask me later link it will ask for a mobile phone number.

This server is my canary in a coal mine and uses scheduled manual recordings to surface these issues.

I have another server using the same TVE source which will be recording a program on this channel tomorrow using the same credentials, so I need to clear this today.

I tried it again with a new manual recording at 16:45 local time.
Failed the same way generating 10 screenshots.

As you know, when it generates a new screenshot, it overwrites the previous one.
Submitted logs fa0229d4-4770-43a4-aae6-6049036efdde.

Logged into Science Live website and cleared the Xfinity Ask for email prompt by clicking Ask me later, then it asked for a mobile number which I cleared by clicking Ask me later.
It was then able to re-auth w/o errors on a new manual recording at 17:25 local time.

I know my XFINITY TVE login account I had to add an Email address.

Are you saying they "forced you" to add a non Xfinity email address for account reset/recovery?
I'm using a secondary, viewer only account with 2FA disabled for Channels DVR. I don't have to provide an alternate email address or mobile phone number on any of my Xfinity user accounts.

Yeah you are right it has been months since I have had a login problem. I just checked my viewer account no email or phone.

@chDVRuser The screenshot you posted is not the same one that was submitted in the diagnostics. Can you try authenticating again and submit again?

I know. Thought I explained that. Your software created 10 screenshots, but each one overwrites the previous one, so you are left with only the latest screenshot (which is probably what your diagnostics send).

Not sure what you mean? I wasn't trying to authenticate and I already cleared the Xfinity security dialogs.
The issues is that Channels DVR is re-authenticating this channel every 7 or 8 days (when the auth token expires, I presume) and it's been doing that successfully in the past. This time Xfinity threw a wrench in the works by displaying 2 security dialogs when my username logged in asking for an alternate email address and a mobile phone number. I know Aman understands and that's why I replied to his post where he said submit diags and he can teach Channels DVR to click Ask me later on those security dialogs..

Xfinity is down for me as well. Just started tonight. Rebooted, upgraded to latest pre-release. removed/added xfinity. Using secondary account with 2-step off.

I'm getting the same error on my primary account, also with 2-step off. I added another secondary and getting the same issue. I also added an email address for the secondary account to xfinity site. I can login just fine and view using the web browser. This is all using the same Windows computer running ChannelsDVR software.

And now Xfinity authenticated and streams are working again. Assuming there was something wrong with Xfinity last night except that I only had issues in Channels, not from web browser.

Is Channels DVR able to keep multiple screenshots now?
I think I may be encountering this again soon, as my Primary account login just presented these and I haven't logged into my secondary account (used only for Channels DVR) as I normally do each week.


We need the html file because the screenshot doesn't help as much. If you can copy those and send to support that will help.

It seems this may be changing soon.

Seems to be working for me with a rescan.

Guessing it's rolling out in stages.

Looks like the rest of the rest of the Viacom channels are now available. Watching Paramount now.

Can someone update this page Channels Support - TV Everywhere Availability to show channels 6010-6029 are available with Xfinity.

Is anyone with Xfinity getting NFL or Redzone in Channels?
Although that page shows them, they don't have an Xfinity provider choice on their live feeds.
