Provider - Xfinity

Not working for me either. Sling user.
"COMET 6751
CHARGE 6752
CONTV 6753
TBD 6755"

I wouldn't care as Comet is OTA, but for some reason Channels insists on ignoring my OTA source and using the 6700 channels.

Channels chooses the higher priority source and the higher channel number when recording with a pass.

Last night I started to get auth issue with my xfinity. It started with ESPN then TNT. I ran thru the normal process to debug. Since I haven’t had issues in over a year I didn’t try to update to latest build. This morning I was able to rescan ESPN and its working.

I still see this in the logs.

2025/05/14 06:57:05.824103 ERROR: unhandled page event *page.EventFrameStartedNavigating
Below is the diagnosis if needed.

Do the latest builds address this error and should I upgrade. I usually take if not broke wait and take stable builds. Currently on v2025.04.17.1651

If you're using TVE, always upgrade to the latest prerelease

In the past when the xfinity TVE was going thru growing pains I would have. But I still think it’s a valid question and updating could make things worse not better. Especially if the error in the logs is not part of fix since the last stable build in April.

The problems were outside of CDVR. I had the same thing that started with the 503 errors while trying to stream so I opened the ESPN app and associated the xfinity login. That elicited a "Program not in your package" for every live EPSN game. Wait half an hour or so and magically the ESPN app worked and so did CDVR. It's hard to try and anticipate all the ways that xfinity/adobe/Disney will break the authorization flow.

Updating should always be your first step. Not sure how you could make it worse, it's already not working?

I am trying to add back Xfinity and I’m getting a cable authentication error. I’ve tried both the main login and the additional user I created as a viewer only.
Is this a known issue happening now? I’d love to get the Xfinity up and running again.

What are you running Channels DVR on?

Thanks so much! It seems like the culprit was that I was trying to access using my phone and I had to do it on a desktop pc. It's working now!

Apologies if I’ve overlooked it in my searching, but does the TVE lineup for Xfinity on the support page also apply to Xfinity NOW?

Yes. I have Xfinity NOW, and Channels DVR works fine with it.

Excellent. And you get the full lineup of channels as shown on the Xfinity TVE lineup page (Channels Support - TV Everywhere Availability)?

This post in another thread lists the channels that are in the Xfinity TVE lineup for an Xfinity NOW subscription.
