I am a current CDVR subscriber. I'd like to test out putting a CDVR server on my parents' computer two state away to see how well it will work for them. Can I do an install of the CDVR server on their computer and log in with my subscription to test things out there? Will that risk knocking my CDVR server at home offline? Do I need to sign up for a second CDVR sub and use the 30 day trial to test a second location? If all goes well, then I will do a second subscription for the install at their house.
Yes you can use the same subscription without messing up your current dvr. However they will not have access to remote streaming feature. Meaning, if they leave the house and try to watch channels on the app away from their home network, it won’t work. If you set it up like this, you also need to disable remote on their server when installing and setting it up.
