Question about moving my install from docker to an ubuntu install (no docker)

Hello,

I have been through the migration docs, but am unclear on something. I currently have channels running in docker.
The following is the directory structure:

I am moving to an ubuntu install (no docker).
I have installed channels to /home/media
There is a directory created called /home/media/channels-dvr

It looks like my config and media are separated in the docker install....
Where do I put my Shared folder/ChannelsDVR (/shares/DVR)?

Should that sit along side the channels-dvr eg:
/home/media/channels-dvr
and
/home/media/ChannelsDVR

or does the contents of ChannelsDVR go under channels-dvr?

I know this is confusing... any help appreciated.

Thanks

The config doesn't need to be copied. Just move/attach the media folders and then restore backup from there

Sure, but usually you would mount an external drive under /mnt/ or /media somewhere. It doesn't matter where it is.

You shouldn't touch anything inside the install folder /home/media/channels-dvr

Thank you for the reply.
