Question about Ubuntu Storage

Hello all,

My question concerns storage. I installed DVR onto Ubuntu server and it works great. The issue is there are two drives, a 300gig and 600 gig. I created an LVM to span the two drives, but DVR is only seeing the 300. Is this expected behavior or did i do something wrong. I know just enough linux to be dangerous…

What do you mean by “only seeing the 300”?

there is a 300 gig drive and a 600 gig drive that have been combined into a single volume. The DVR only sees 300 gig as available not the entire 900 gig volume. Does that make sense?

You can type df -h into a terminal to see what it reports about free space.

Thanks for the quick reply. It looks like i never mounted the logical volume. I’ll work on it some more or just dump the whole thing and get a newer pc with better drives and reinstall. Great product and great support. Thank you!
