Not sure if this is a dupe, I did try to search first…feel free to remove if so! Or if I’m missing something obvious!
Basically, once you dig into Recordings (which feels like it takes one more level deep than it should, really, to get to a specific episode), it’s a chore (several hops) to get back out to the On Now/Guide.
Example (from home):
- Swipe to get menu
- Swipe right to Recordings
- Swipe down to get to show (and honestly I end up going into the All Recordings mostly…for some reason the “recent” thumbnails at the top don’t seem to reflect what I’ve actually already watched, so I have to dig into the listings flagged with the # of new episodes as a key)
- Click into Show
- Click into Episode
- Click into Watch
(then unwind with swipes or Menu to get back. But don’t hit Menu too many times
)
Plex some time ago added the “swipe all the way to the left” to get a menu to jump back to a given section. I think that would be an easy and useful addition to remove swipes in various scenarios.
(Yes I could watch my recordings through Plex, but I lose all of the Channels extra goodness )
Or would be good to know if some navigation optimization for this is coming. And again, if I’m doing something wrong in my usage pattern of Recordings.
