When you make markers in the file during the ComSkip operation, are they also marked as Chapters? If no, is there a way to do so (trying to retire MCEBuddy). Kodi has a nice feature that when you press the "up" key on your remote, it will move from chapter to chapter skipping the commercials. We overall like this manual ability that than an automated skip.

The DVR recordings are mpegts mpg files which do not support chapters.
You can use the experimental setting to export edl files which kodi should be able to read. Or use our kodi plugin which also sends the commercial markers to kodi.
I thought so. I use MCEBuddy to convert to unprocessed .MKV since they support chapters. Because I use EMBY in the background and the EMBY add-on (trying to retire that too), the markers are ignored by Kodi. I think I have a solution. I'll try it and let you know.
