Would be a nice feature, I like to go back and forth between games
If you're on an Apple TV you can tap the navigation area on the Siri remote (tap, not click) and the status bar will disappear.
And on Android clients, pressing Up on the D-pad will also dismiss the timeline.
(Also, you can perform either during playback to bring up the timeline at will: the tap on Apple or the Up on Android.)

I understand how to dismiss it. Maybe something has changed. I don't need to dismiss it anymore, you can hit pause pause now with it showing and still change channels. Before it would pause and play
