I'm not to sure what is happening here but I keep getting random failed recordings, my channels server is on a Qnap box. I've checked the dvr log and keep seeing "Skipping job because program already started"

Please post the log messages from one of the failures.
It sounds like the NAS is going to sleep or shutting down. Or maybe the clock is not in sync.
What model QNAP?
Thank you tmm1 - I've just realised my error, I set my Qnap TS-469L to power down each night between 4am & 5am which coincides with one of the recordings. I created recording passes for the other 2 but those programs had already started prior to me creating the passes so I assume Channels does not record any programs that have already started or part way through.
