Raspberry Pi Channels problem

I have been successfully using the Raspberry Pi Channels image for quite a while. Always updated. It would ping at it's IP address. However, all of a sudden I was getting no Channels found error. I moved channels to my desktop (wow much faster) and brought the Raspberry to my work bench. I hooked up an HDMI cable and it went through a lot of code and finally ended up at a screen with ChannelsDVR in big pink letters and telling me to hook it up to my network.
OS 2021.1101.2046
DVR 2022.10.03.2116
Does this indicate an operational Channels installation as I was trying to figure out how to reflash the image?
Thanks and sorry if I posted in wrong forum.

Yes it sounds like it booted up clean. Had you tried rebooting the Pi before already and it didn't help?

You can attach to network now and see if it pings and responds to dvr web UI

Will that be a problem with channels already running on my desktop or should i shut down the desktop first?

It shouldn't be, you can uncheck the Bonjour checkbox when it comes up so clients keep using the Windows server.

I am not using Windows. I am running Zorin Linux on my desktop. Isn't the The RaspberryPi image a form of Linux? I am kind of a novice, but learning quickly. Channels runs like silk on Zorin. Is Bonjour necessary in Linux? Thank You for all your great work and constant improvements to Channels.

Bonjour checkbox on the dvr web UI controls whether clients can find that particular dvr via auto discovery. It works the same way on all platforms.

"Bonjour" is Apple's name for Zeroconf, which is an open standard. On Linux-based OSes it is usually provided by Avahi, and generally provided by default.

Thank You for all of your help. I have tested the Channels install on the Raspberry and it appears to be working. I have no idea what the problem was when I started getting the No server found message., However, I have become used to the speed of my desktop with it's 16 thread CPU and am building a box to host my channels install and have another functional computer. I am going to sell my Raspberry and see if I can get you another customer.

You have created a fantastic program the exceeds any big name DVR that I have owned. Keep up the great work. I guess you can close this thread and again thanks for the quick replies. I am a work in progress.
