Real-time buf/drop/timeouts information on the server status page. How useful is it?

I'm referring to this:

Once a recording is finished, this information is available in the log.

How useful is it to show it in real time?

I can imagine that most users (including myself) who don't know how video streaming technically works don't understand and don't really care to see this on the status page.
And I don't know how many people look at it anyway.

I meant to ask this for a while now and never got to it.

Just wondering.

Showing technical data in real time might confuse users or overwhelm them with extra information. It’s probably better to show this info in the log after the process is done, so users who want to troubleshoot or dive into the details can access it when they feel like it.

This info is shown on the Server Admin web UI. The place that you go to perform administrative tasks on the server. Thus, it is suited for technical data to be shown. Having it only shown in the logs is a bad idea, as it will get buried very fast if u have an active server. Realtime stats like that can be very useful in many different scenarios.

Fair statements. That makes sense. Thank you. :slightly_smiling_face:
