Rebuild database of old recordings on NAS

I recently had to reformat my NAS which contained my Channels DVR due to a HDD failure. Before that I copied all of my Channels DVR content, logs, etc (except a few files that were restricted). I moved them back to the restored NAS, reinitiated Channels DVR but it won't recognize any of the media files (it shows 0 recordings, 0 passes, 0 shows). Is there a way to restore these recordings/make them visible again?

I can use Plex to access the recordings but I'd prefer to have them show up in my Channels app on AppleTV.

Go to http://[yourserverip]:8089/restore and select the latest backup. You need to make sure that all the files are all there.

You mean make sure all the media files are there?

There's a Database folder next to the TV and Movies folders. Do you have that? It contains the backups you can restore.

Yes, thanks. It seems to have worked. My library is now missing just the couple things that were recorded in the gap (that were in the newly created but now overwritten database and the old one I restored). But otherwise all my old recordings are now visible. Thank you.

You can import β€œthe couple of things that were recorded in the gap.” Then all your content will be back into Channels DVR database.

How do I import those?

Move the mpg files from TV to Imports/TV with the same structure

Thanks!
