I have some movies that are classified as a TV recording.
I would like the ability to reclassify these as Movies.
I have some movies that are classified as a TV recording.

Are they movies you recorded using Channels DVR or are you importing local content?
If Channels DVR recorded them as a TV show, it's because the guide data said they were.
You can put them in your Movie Imports folder and import them as Movies (if they really are).
Currently that's the only way to accomplish what you want.
Yes these were guide recorded movies.
So, put them in the Movie Imports folder (not Channels’ Movie Recording folder) and it will pick them up automatically? Or do I have to force an import?
If you have Movie imports enabled on the DVR it will scan the directory every five minutes.
You can also force a scan by clicking Scan Sources.

Once they import you can check to see if they're unmatched
DVR web UI DVR>Manage>Unmatched>Movies
So in Explorer, I moved all the movies from TV to Imports.
Channels has rescanned these and I cleaned up any mismatches.
These recordings are still showing up in TV Shows.
Will Channels automatically do a database garbage cleanup if it can't find the files in their original location, or do I now have to go to each entry and delete them manually?
Leaves a few unanswered questions.
Are you sure they're actually Movies? Can you screenshot one showing what it looks like in the web UI, like this.
Imports\Movies or Imports\TV?
When you did the find match, were they in Unmatched Movies or Unmatched Shows?
Possible that since Channels recorded them and thought they were TV Shows, it still remembers them.
Either delete the shows manually or run a terminal/commandline command to purge them from the database. (deletes the database entries for recorded files it cannot find)
curl -XPUT http://x.x.x.x:8089/dvr/pruner/deleted
(where x.x.x.x is the IP address of your Channels DVR Server)
Thanks for all the help - I now have my library cleaned up
