Is there a way to record and store videos in HEVC/H.265? Would love to be able to record in HEVC_AMF to save space.
Channels does not do any transcoding while recording. It takes the sources and writes them directly to disk.
This is not something that will change as it would create a million new ways for things to go wrong.
Transcoding items after recordings are done is something that has been discussed for the future though.
Wouldnt that be incredibly easy to implement as a post processing script?
