Recorded wrong channel OTA?

Hi,

I set up a new series pass to record 25 Words or Less on Fox 5.1 It's recorded one episode so far.

When I went to watch it today, it's not the right program. Skipping around through the video, I can see it's from "Movies TV Network". Looking at the channel guide, that network is 5.2 here in NY.

I'm not sure what went wrong. Seems like it could be either:

  • Channels recorded the wrong channel
  • My HDHR tuned to the wrong channel
  • The network broadcast on the wrong channel

In the Channels UI, it thinks it recorded it from 5.1:

When I tune to 5.1 live in Channels, I'm getting the proper Fox program. (Also getting the proper Movies TV Network program on 5.2)

Channels definitely recorded from 5.1 so either the guide data was incorrect or the station messed up.

Guide data isn't the problem. I watched the program, and all the bumpers were for 5.2.

Check the system log for your HDHR tuner. Be aware the timestamps there are UTC time.

Thanks, but it looks like I lost the log data on my HDHR when I rebooted it last night.

Oddly, I just ran the show again, with sound this time (I had it muted before).

It has the audio from 5.1, but the video from 5.2. Weird.

FWIW, this just happened to me this morning - the Today show was supposed to record on 5.1 and the video + no audio was from channel 5.2 instead - this is the first time that I have seen this particular error...
