Just curious: Is the DVR smart enough to use the same tuner if it’s recording two (or more) channels on the same RF frequency? In the UK, for example, the HD versions of BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5 are in the same multiplex on RF channel 54 in my area. So, if I wanted to record something on BBC1 and ITV at the same time, is the DVR smart enough to know it needs only 1 tuner? A similar example in the US would be if you wanted to record something on 2.1 and 2.2 at the same time.
As an example, TVheadend is smart enough to realise this and won’t “waste” a tuner unnecessarily. (And whilst TVheadend is a great backend, there aren’t any good Apple TV-friendly frontends for it…definitely nowhere near the polish of Channels…Kodi/MrMC are a pile of rubbish.)
