Recording Limits

Need more investigation but I believe that there are limits on how many recordings can be at the same time with my provider. My provider is Youtube TV and last night I was recording seven shows at once. 4 of them where recording from my HD HomeRun Quadro. There were also 3 recordings on channels provided by TVE (Youtube TV.) When tuned to another channel to watch a live, one of the recordings failed. I think this is due to the streaming limits by Youtube TV. They will allow up to 3 live streams at once. So I would like to know how can I limit the number of recordings to prevent recordings from failing.

You tube tv has nothing to do with this(I don't think they know if you are Streaming from the websites directly) , how many tuners were being used for OTA?

Edit When I had Sling(Orange), I couldn't watch ESPN on the ESPN website because I was watching something else on Sling, So maybe The y do.

Since TVE streams come from the internet, your downstream bandwidth may also be playing a role in the quality of successive streams. (Other congestion on your network could also impact this.)

Additionally, you may also be hitting a threshold on your DVR drive's I/O with 7+ streams writing to the drive simultaneously.

It's possible neither of these things are happening, but they are things to consider when troubleshooting.

What does the Log tab of the DVR say about the failed recording?

HD HomeRun Quad has 4 tuners.

Only thing I see with anything Failed is this.
2019/08/06 22:16:30 [ERR] Error during stream TVE-YouTubeTV ch6762 ETLIVE: Failed to download file: https://etlive-mediapackage-fastly.cbsaavideo.com/dvr/manifest_7_872092.ts?m=1564010187: write /volume1/DVR/Streaming/channels-cache-461517651/1ba13051f67b908cc1ec8644570861e713e2c71c94b634e98615cc4546aa563c: file already closed

Is that the recording that failed?

No that's not the recording. Looks like the log already purged that entry that failed. I will tonight paste the log as soon as I see an error again.
