Recording missed due to watching Live TV

Wondering if I am missing something - but I have been watching a few things live and realized that while I was watching a recording was scheduled and both tuners were needed on my HD Homerun. There wasn’t any sort of warning from Channels - it just skipped the recording.

Is there a setting for it to grab the tuner anyway? Or pop up a warning? If not, would be a great addition :slight_smile: I came from TiVo, so was used to how it handled it - it would pop up and tell you the tuner you were using was needed, and you could either cancel the recording or give the tuner up for the recording.

I’ve thought about requesting this feature several times, but figured I’d wait until the DVR was out of beta. Guess that time is now, so here goes…

I agree this feature would really be a helpful addition :grinning:

I agree, a notification prior to the recording starting if all turners are already in use, or will be in use with the queued recordings on the device(s) viewing a tuner’s stream and the option to skip a scheduled recording or switch to that channel when necessary. Difficult to handle with tuner sharing. Even if we don’t get options to take action, a prompt would be good.
